Catch Up & Come on Safari
As the second part of our year begins, Dave started the year with an adventure that was quite unique. I’m going to let him speak here about it, however if you want a full unfiltered thoughts, check out our membership video here on youtube!

Travelling is my passion and my passion has no borders!
Even though I have only heard negative things about Afghanistan for as long as I can remember, it has always been a place that intrigued me; from its culture, its unique landscape and food. After following the company Lets Go Afghanistan for about 2 years on social media and seeing them help tourists from all around the world navigate through Afghanistan, I decided to pull the plug and go check it out for myself.
Upon landing in Kabul I had a lot of apprehension but after walking around the city with my new guide for a few hours, I already had a different perception about the country. Afghan people were extremely welcoming, coming up to me left and right as I was walking through the streets to tell me how happy they were to see me in their country. This was reflected throughout my entire 2 weeks there. But obviously I didn't go to Afghanistan to just see its capital city, so I embarked on many long road trips through the mountains to explore as much as I could during the little time I had.
Apart from the people that I met along the way, the surrounding landscapes were truly incredible! It was also some of the best food I have ever had and it was truly such a unique experience to be a tourist in a country that doesn’t see many.
The main question: were there Taliban? Yes, there were. I had to interact with them every day regarding my permits for filming and traveling through check points. Through my own personal interactions with them, they were very welcoming to the country and I never once felt unsafe. With that being said, I obviously do not agree with their strict regime but after spending time there, the Taliban are not a reflection of the average population. As I like to say, “hate the leadership but don’t punish the people”.

Okay, now back to Tracey!
A few months ago we put out a “feeler” on Youtube, wondering if there was any interest in people coming to Kenya on a hosted group trip! This is our last call before we officially launch it. This trip is for those who always wanted to come to Kenya for safari but are still a little too nervous to commit on their own. This trip is for those who want to experience luxury safari in multiple different regions around the country. This trip is for those who would feel more comfortable to land at the airport and see our faces as soon as you exit the airport, and every day after for the next 10-12 days. This is a worry free trip because we’ve got you!! If you think this is something you would be seriously interested in, please fill out this form and you will be in the first group to be notified to sign up when officially launched!
To conclude, we are beginning our Namibia trip here now so next time, expect to hear all about that!!
Here’s a sneak peak of one of the properties we will be visiting during the group trip.
Until next time,
Dave and Tracey Mani
